In 2024, the VOX team partnered with Center AI, initially seeking a tool to centrally manage their Google Business listings and analyze Google Maps data. The first goal was to clean up and update their listings—opening hours, descriptions, services—so customers had quick access to accurate, consistent information.

As the project evolved, the team began to focus more on the role that customer reviews play on Google Maps. Reviews are often the final, crucial factor influencing purchasing decisions. Potential customers look to others’ experiences to validate their choice. These reviews also build trust in the specific store where the purchase will ultimately take place.

This raised a key question: how can we encourage satisfied customers to leave more valuable reviews that drive new foot traffic?

To answer this, VOX launched Review Booster—a tool that not only scales review collection but also improves the quality and usefulness of those reviews. It marked a shift in how the brand approached reviews: no longer just feedback, but a core part of the conversion path and local SEO strategy.

TL;DR — What VOX Achieved with Review Booster

  • +55% more positive reviews on Google compared to the same period the year before
  • +65% more text-based reviews YoY—customers are more likely to share when supported in writing
  • Deployed across 150+ locations
  • Review Booster integrated at every key customer touchpoint—QR codes in stores, on sales documents, after-service follow-ups, and on the store’s website
  • Sales teams actively encouraging feedback
  • Advisors trained on the impact of Google reviews on conversions
  • Reviews embedded into the buying experience as a trust signal

Challenge: Scaling Reviews Without Burdening Store Staff

Before Review Booster, customer reviews weren’t a big focus. Some stores had a few reviews, others had none. With numerous locations, standardizing review collection across the entire organization was a significant challenge.
VOX understood the critical importance of Google listings at the decision-making stage. A customer comparing options will often search for a store on Google Maps—and if there’s no trustworthy info or strong reviews, they may choose a competitor.

The team needed a solution that would both organize their listings and increase valuable review volume—without adding more work for already-busy store employees.

Review Booster helped us get a handle on reviews without putting more on our team’s plate. The AI-supported suggestions make it easy for customers to leave a review without overthinking it.

Turning Customer Touchpoints into Review Opportunities

VOX began with a simple yet effective strategy: to use every interaction as an opportunity to ask for a review. QR codes linking to the review form were added everywhere—on invoices, installation forms, email footers, and on the website via a dedicated button. Stores got physical stands with prominent QR codes. The tool worked quietly in the background, but VOX put in real effort to make it succeed.

A key piece was activating frontline staff—advisors, and installers. They were the bridge between the tool and the customer. Unlike industries where customers leave reviews spontaneously, the home furnishings industry requires more active prompting. VOX had to build that habit in-house.

QR codes went everywhere—stores, documents, emails. Review Booster helps, but the internal execution is just as important.

Expanding into Post-Installation: New Channel, New Feedback

The next move was to bring Review Booster into the installation experience. Technicians began sharing a QR code after finishing a service, which opened a new channel for collecting feedback.

VOX appreciated how quickly the tool could be adapted. The flexibility of Review Booster made it easy to plug into this new customer journey stage.

Building a Review Culture Through Education and Local Action

At VOX, reviews aren’t just about reputation—they directly influence sales. The company treated Review Booster as part of a bigger change management effort. Employees were educated on the importance of reviews, shared stats between stores, and encouraged to implement best practices.

Teams were also invited to try their tactics. In some locations, stores even created merchandise featuring QR codes. Any initiative that boosted visibility and credibility was welcomed.

Engagement levels varied, but many teams took absolute ownership of their tasks. VOX didn’t just roll out a tool—they created a space where local teams could shape and elevate the customer experience.

Review Booster played its part, but so did our internal push—sharing data, training, and motivating advisors. That’s what made the impact possible.

The Results

Without requiring daily oversight from VOX, Review Booster delivered clear, measurable outcomes. Within just six months, across 152 locations, the company:

  • Increased positive reviews by 55%
  • Nearly doubled the average number of reviews collected per month
  • Collected 652 text reviews259 more than the previous year
  • Improved the average Google rating from 4.75 to 4.81

From VOX’s point of view, Review Booster works in the background—but it works. Review volume is steadily growing, and the tool naturally supports the buying journey by making it easy to leave a review.

It’s like a car horn. Not the most important part, but it has to work. And it does.

A significant benefit for the VOX team is catching dissatisfaction before it escalates. Some customers express concerns through a private survey—before writing anything public. This allows the team to act quickly and resolve issues promptly. In many cases, customers no longer feel the need to post a public negative review.

More Quality Reviews, Thanks to AI Support

The most significant barrier to getting text reviews wasn’t dissatisfaction—it was a lack of inspiration. Happy customers often didn’t know what to write. VOX knew that even excellent service wouldn’t lead to reviews unless the process felt easy.

That’s where Review Booster’s AI support made a difference. After filling out a quick survey, customers receive a tailored review draft matching their experience—ready to post on Google Maps.

This has led to longer, more useful reviews that boost VOX’s visibility for local keywords and increase trust with future buyers.

The reviews are now meatier—they include real text. The AI feature works, and we were honestly surprised by how well.

What’s Next? Using Reviews as a Communication Advantage

With the review collection process under control and store teams engaged, the VOX team is thinking about what’s next. Customer reviews—once seen mainly as feedback—are becoming a key part of their communication strategy.

These ideas are still in the early stages, but VOX is exploring how visible high ratings and authentic reviews can support branding and sales, both online and offline.

One store with a 4.9 Google rating has already started using that stat in its posters and printed materials to highlight customer satisfaction. It’s a glimpse into a future where reviews aren’t just proof of quality—they’re a strategic sales asset.

Google reviews have a massive influence—customers read, compare, and decide. It’s time to treat reviews not just as part of customer care, but as a strategic lever for communication and market differentiation.
